The fashion world is gearing up for spring. Well, in fact, they’ve been gearing up since last fall, and the subsequent release of Vogue’s “must have” looks for the 2015 season.. Interested in trending for less? Because who has an extra $2000 in spare change lying around to pick up a pair of the latest mules.. am I right? We’ve got your spring staples below:
It’s all about the height in 2015 – and we are seeing some crazy ways to add it, from spring balls to geometric platforms. The platform has taken a turn for the trendy again, coming a long, LONG way from 1990’s grunge (and let’s not forget Spice Girls). Softmoc’s “Nikki” platform wedge are a 3-for-1 deal. At first it looks like a normal, well… platform. But then you take in the subtle wedge curve and on top, it’s 100% sandal. Hello, spring!
All hail the flats – comfort plays a big role in this season’s trends (thankfully), but we’re seeing tons of unique touches, from mesh backing to geometric cut-outs. Josef Seibel’s “Pippa” flat is our # 1 statement shoe for spring. It’s cushioned, perforated and comes in a metallic-y basalt hue.
Ahhh leather.. a fashion staple all over the world. In keeping with the spring theme “traditional, but fresh”, Hush Puppies “Ceil” slip on loafers are a twist on the classic moccasin design. With a soft leather upper and cool, off-white shade, these loafers will keep you looking put-together, but casually so.
Could we ever do warm weather without sandals? Thong styles are super trending for 2015, and SoftMoc’s “Angy” in red will be your go-to flip-flop, guaranteed. Do your closet (and feet) a favor.
It’s all about the fringe, baby. Odes to the flapper era keep materializing on runways and this spring is no exception. Softmoc’s “Dixie” ballerina moccasins are an uber-comfortable way to add it to every day wear.
